Mondragón Assembly’s patented “continuous string” process reduces string manufacturing cycle time, enabling the elimination of adverse effects of “first” and “last” cells via a cut between two cells to create individual strings from one infinite string, increasing productivity by 10%. The process allows the ribbon/wire to be kept under control at all times, increasing alignment quality and reducing the number of defective strings.
The Basque machinery manufacturer has recently announced agreement on its use with a major player in the industry.
