The Tacheng project, the largest in Xinjiang, was constructed by China’s Huadian corporation as part of a large-scale, digital and multi-energy complementary clean energy base to generate green electricity and carry out PV-assisted desertification control.

Astronergy has provided 642MWdc of its ASTRO series modules for the project’s second phase, which is forecast to generate an annual 1 billion kWh of electricity, while eliminating 300,000 tons of standard coal and 780,000 tons of carbon dioxide emissions.
