Seraphim has announced the signing of a 250MW framework agreement with Iraqi renewable energy company Barzaei Halwan. The partnership will begin with an initial 50MW procurement in 2025, marking a strategic milestone in Iraq’s renewable energy development.
As a key player in Iraq’s clean energy sector, Barzaei Halwan will leverage Seraphim’s global distribution channels and marketing expertise. In return, Seraphim will provide comprehensive supply and support services spanning PV modules, inverters and energy storage systems. The collaboration is designed to expand both companies’ presence in the Middle East and support the region’s transition to sustainable energy.
Iraq has committed to generating 20% of its electricity from renewable sources by 2030, though implementation has been gradual. At the signing ceremony, Insan Boy, Vice President of Global Sales at Seraphim, commented: “The Middle East is central to Seraphim’s global strategy. This agreement strengthens our local service capabilities and establishes a strong foundation for long-term cooperation. Through ongoing innovation and mutual trust, we are confident in delivering lasting value. This is more than a business agreement—it’s a shared commitment to technology, growth and sustainability.”
Barzaei Halwan CEO Khalid Braym Qadir added: “From our initial conversations, Seraphim’s brand strength and technological leadership were clear. Its high-efficiency solutions and global experience are exactly what Iraq and the wider region needs. We believe this partnership will unlock tremendous opportunities and accelerate Iraq’s energy transformation.”
