Sineng Electric, in partnership with global solar developer ib vogt, has supplied its string inverters for the 99 MWp Tantangan solar power project in South Cotabato, Philippines, and successfully completed Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) in accordance with the requirements of the Philippine Grid Code. Witnessed by the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP), the test marked a major step toward ensuring grid-ready operation.

Sineng has provided its SP-350K-HB1 350 kW string inverters for the project, paired with two types of its integrated transformer solutions—the ITS-6400-MV and ITS-8960-MV.

The NGCP-witnessed FAT verified the stable performance of the company’s inverters across a wide range of grid conditions. The test evaluated key grid-support features, including low- and high-voltage ride-through (LVRT/HVRT), frequency response, voltage regulation and overall system stability under grid disturbances.

At the core of the project is Sineng’s 350kW string inverter, delivering up to 99% efficiency and equipped with multiple MPPTs to ensure optimal energy harvest. Designed for the local hot, humid, and rain-intensive climate, the inverter features IP66 protection and C5 anti-corrosion rating, enabling reliable operation under demanding environmental conditions.

In addition, the inverter delivers millisecond-level rapid reactive power response, allowing fast grid dispatch and dynamic voltage support—capabilities that are increasingly essential for solar plants operating within modern, flexible power systems.

Once fully operational, the Tantangan project is expected to generate an annual 150,000 MWh of clean electricity, enough to power over 62,000 households, while eliminating some 66,000 tonnes of CO₂ emissions.
