SOFARSOLAR grid-tied integrated inverter plays key role in mountain tunnel lighting project

With rising energy costs for minerals such as oil and coal and the reduction of subsidies for photovoltaic grid-tied systems, there is a strong need for uninterrupted and emergency power supply in mountainous areas and base stations with no power grid, resulting in grid-tied systems being the subject of significant interest. At the core of a grid-tied system, SOFARSOLAR’s HYD series integrated inverter has become a priority solution in many application scenarios.

The Longquan Dali mountain tunnel lighting project in China’s Zhejiang province has recently been completed, with the company’s HYD 5K~20KTL-3PH energy storage integrated inverters being chosen by the project owner, with the battery section equipped with 80 units of 12V 75AH lead-acid batteries. Photovoltaic modules convert solar energy into electricity, powering the tunnel load through the integrated inverter and charging the batteries at the same time; when there is no light, the battery preferentially supplies power to the tunnel load and then to the  power grid. When the power grid fails, the emergency load is supplied to the integrated machine via the batteries.

As a power generation system is not limited by region, it can be widely used and installed wherever there is sunlight, being particularly suitable for remote areas without a power grid such as islands, fishing boats and outdoor breeding bases. It can also be used as emergency generating equipment in areas suffering frequent power outages. 

The HYD20KTL grid-tied integrated inverter has an aesthetically pleasing appearance, with its internal components sourced from respected industry brands to ensure quality and longevity of the product. Internal circuits have a scientifically decentralized design with heat source layout,  heat conduction paste and other processes to improve heat dissipation performance. The device has IP65 protection level, so the installed position can be chosen freely.

The storage integrated inverter also boasts many industry-leading technologies, such as compatibility of off-grid and grid-connected systems for flexible switching, advanced battery management technology, bidirectional flow control of electrical energy, I/V curve scanning and independent MPPT tracking. It additionally offers an off-grid overload sound and light alarm reminder, remote software upgrade and intelligent monitoring and can be combined with  off-grid, grid-connected and micro-grid PV energy storage systems. It can also be used in intensive industrial and commercial production areas. At present, the inverter is widely used in China, Germany, Australia, Italy and Holland.
