TCL Solar at RE+ Mexico

TCL Solar has taken part in the 2026 edition of RE+ Mexico, unveiling a range of advanced products designed to meet the growing demand for sustainable energy solutions in Latin America.

TCL Solar is the newest brand supporting TCL Zhonghuan’s mission to accelerate the global renewable energy transition. Backed by the latter and combining SunPower’s 40+ years of innovation, the company delivers high‑efficiency TOPCon, multi‑cut and Back Contact solutions from residential to utility‑scale applications worldwide.

At the event, TCL Solar showcased flagship products including the T5 Pro TOPCon multi-cut shingled module, the high-efficiency back contact (BC) module and a range of other special application modules, which span residential, commercial & industrial (C&I) and utility-scale applications. These innovations are set to transform Mexico’s clean energy landscape, offering unparalleled efficiency and performance to address the country’s energy needs.

The BC series represents a perfect fusion of efficiency, aesthetics and safety, and is designed to perform across a wide range of residential, C&I, and large-scale solar applications. TCL’s BC module offers superior power generation and enhanced safety, its no busbar design and no front metal lines presenting a visually appealing aesthetic. Its cell-level bypass diode technology allows intelligent shade management, enabling it to achieve 20W+ higher power output than traditional TOPCon modules, offer superior hotspot resistance and feature a low power degradation rate of just 0.35%.

The T5 Pro High-Efficiency multi-cut module excels in the three key areas of power efficiency, product reliability and customer value. In terms of power efficiency, the module employs a tri-cut high-density packaging design that significantly improves energy generation efficiency, setting new standards for high-performance solar technology. Product reliability is based on low-current technology, ensuring precise temperature control with a maximum hotspot temperature 45°C lower than that of conventional TOPCon modules. The product also operates at 1-1.5°C lower daily temperatures, minimizing the risk of fire hazards. Customer value is addressed by enhancing energy generation and reducing total project lifecycle costs, the T5 Pro providing a clear return on investment for PV projects across various deployment scenarios.

TCL Solar’s new lightweight module also addresses the unique challenges faced by Mexico’s C&I rooftops, which often struggle with limited load-bearing capacity. The new module features an innovative design with a unit area weight of just 5.4 kg/m², offering 3-6% more power generation compared to conventional modules. The use of ultra-thin glass provides excellent heat dissipation, reducing operating temperatures and making the module ideal for aging rooftops or load-sensitive environments.
