AIKO has announced the signing of a project agreement with Dutch developer TPSolar for the supply of 50 MW of high-efficiency ABC (All Back Contact) solar modules for the Zonnepark Zuidvelde project in the municipality of Noordenveld. The installation will cover approximately 27 hectares and is expected to generate enough annual electricity to power 14,000 average Dutch households.
The Zonnepark Zuidvelde project plays a key role in helping its municipality to meet the ambition of becoming energy-neutral by 2040. In addition to rooftop solar and energy-saving initiatives, Noordenveld has prioritized large-scale solar parks as part of its energy transition strategy. The site in Zuidvelde was selected in part due to its favourable grid access and potential for dual land use.
TPSolar’s decision to partner with AIKO reflects growing market confidence in ABC technology at utility scale. “TPSolar is a highly experienced player in the field,” commented Remon Hansté, AIKO C&I Business Director for North/West EU. “Its choice demonstrates once again how our ABC modules deliver maximum yield and long-term revenue for utility-scale developers.”
For TPSolar, this marks the beginning of a broader collaboration with AIKO. “We always conduct quality testing before and during production and delivery,” added its MD Birgit Eggl. “I’m confident that AIKO will meet our high standards for quality and reliability.”
