Yingli has announced that it has been awarded bronze medal status by EcoVadis, in recognition of its strong performance across environment, labour and human rights, ethics and sustainable procurement.
EcoVadis’ assessment is based on 21 international standards, its ratings serving as a key benchmark for companies seeking to enter global supply chains and enhance their sustainability credentials. The bronze medal places Yingli among the top 35% of all global companies assessed, validating the effectiveness of its sustainability management system and its contributions to responsible business practices.
Allen Geng, Yingli MD for international sales, commented: “This recognition reflects the company’s commitment to integrating sustainability into every aspect of its operations. Achieving the EcoVadis bronze medal demonstrates that the efforts in environmental stewardship, social responsibility and ethical governance are meeting the rigorous expectations of the international market.”
As one of China’s earliest PV industry players, Yingli has consistently led in sustainability: it was the first Chinese company to join PV CYCLE, the first Chinese and global PV firm to participate in WWF’s “Climate Savers” program, and among the first to be included in the China New Energy Industry ESG Value Index.
