India’s newly appointed finance minister dishes out support for infrastructure and mega factories but downstream PV mostly left out.

State-run oil company Petrona Dagangan Berhad (PDB) has signed an MoU with Malaysian Green Technology Corporation (GreenTech Malaysia) and a subsidiary of major utility Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB), to install 100 electric vehicle charging stations with solar PV by 2018 in Malaysia.

Solar developer SPI Energy has invested around US$4.6 million in an electric vehicle rental service in China, with the company expected to build branded charging stations and leverage its PV business to finance its growth.
