Independent power producer (IPP) Origis Energy has completed the second phase of a 300MW solar PV project in Florida, US.

Three project stories have come out of the US this week, including EDF Renewables in Ohio, EDP Renewables in California and Origis in Florida.

US solar developer Origis Energy has secured a US$136 million construction financing facility and conversion to term loan with financial group Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group (MUFG) for a PV plant in Florida, US.

The Florida Municipal Power Agency (FMPA) along with 20 municipal utilities and solar developer Origis Energy have expanded their municipal solar PV portfolio to 600MW.
