Hanergy Thin Film Power Group has claimed a new conversion efficiency record for an N-type monocrystalline heterojunction solar cell with a conversion efficiency of 24.23%.

Sharp Solar, a subsidiary of Taiwan-based contract electronics giant Foxconn has reported a verified heterojunction back contact (HBC) solar cell on a large-area (6-inch) N-type monocrystalline wafer with a conversion efficiency of 25.09%.

Risen Energy, a global Tier 1 manufacturer of high-performance PV products and provider of business solutions for power generation, confirmed that their 72, 60 and 54-cell PV modules for residential, commercial and utility-scale projects have passed the Japan Electrical Safety & Environmental Technology Laboratories (JET) testing.
