Austrian inverter manufacturer Fronius has launched a new string inverter designed specifically for large-scale PV projects.
The Fronius Eco inverter range is available in the 25.0 and 27.0kVA power categories, making it suitable for projects in the megawatt range, Fronius said.

The new model is the latest addition to Fronius’ ‘SnapINverter’ range, which the company claims allows for quick installation.
“The Fronius Eco is the ideal project inverter. It is easy to service, extremely cost-effective and offers the high quality associated with Fronius,” said Martin Hackl, head of the Solar Energy Division at Fronius International GmbH.
The inverter has a lightweight design, which Fronius said offered maximum power density and energy yields.
The new MPP tracking algorithm of the inverter’s ‘dynamic peak manager’ also boosts yield, Fronius added, by automatically checking the characteristic curve at regular intervals and ensuring maximum output, even in partial shading.
Fronius will be showcasing its new model at Intersolar Europe in Munich early next month.
