Order Focus: centrotherm SiTec wins Saudi Arabian polysilicon plant contract

IDEA Polysilicon Company has selected centrotherm SiTec to provide basic engineering and the technology concepts for its first 10,000MT capacity polysilicon plant to be built in the city of Yanbu, Saudi Arabia. Actual construction timelines were not disclosed.

Centrotherm noted that future collaboration with IDEA could expand to include the production of metallurgical silicon and the manufacturing of ingots and wafers as well as modules.

“We are delighted to have been able to attract a renowned partner such as centrotherm with such expertise along the solar value chain for our basic engineering and technology concept,” said Marwan Al Ghurair, CEO of IDEA Polysilicon Company.
