The country has around 350MW of PV projects currently under development. A feed-in tariff scheme offers rates of around 16 DZD/kWh (US$0.20) for projects 1-5MW and a separate rate for those over 5MW. The precise rate depends on the project's anticipated output.

The FiT, launched in April 2014, is guaranteed at a flat rate for the first five years before the performance based rate kicks in for the next 15 years. It is targeting 800MW of installed capacity by 2020.
