Effective as of October 12, Bruce Cousins has been appointed CEO and a board director of Carmanah Technologies, specialists in self-contained solar LED lighting and solar power solutions. Cousins replaces Ted Lattimore, CEO since 2007, who announced his resignation in May this year.

Five awards were given to recognize the partners REC during the Global Partner Summit in Italy. Centrosolar will present a new, flat roof mounting system for PV modules at Solar Power UK 2011. The Ceniq system enables PV systems to be installed on flat foil roofs at an angle of up to three degrees, without damaging the roof cladding in the process.

Global Solar Energy, a manufacturer of flexible CIGS thin-film solar panels, has received a TÜV certificate qualifying them for Italy’s Conto Energia IV FiT. In order to benefit, companies have to produce components that are of at least 60% European origin.

Bringing more than 60 years combined experience in the solar, semiconductor and power electronics industries, ArrayPower, a Silicon Valley-based power electronics company, announced the appointment of three members to its core leadership team.

Bringing two decades of extensive experience in renewable energy, software and semiconductors to the company, solar industry veteran Cary Vandenberg has joined eIQ Energy’s executive team. As vice president of sales he will be responsible for strengthening its sales management, business development and international business in order to expand its product offerings and customer installations.
