centrotherm expands operations in Italy and U.S.

centrotherm photovoltaics AG has expanded its operations to include sites in Italy and the U.S., the company announced today. This is in line with the company’s strategy to expand its presence in regions with high growth expectations in PV adoption and manufacturing.

In Italy, centrotherm photovoltaics Italia S.R.L. will deal with all Italian orders, including an order from Helios, Italy for several megawatt turnkey lines for solar cell production. centrotherm photovoltaics USA, Inc. has also begun operations at a site in Atlanta, Georgia. Suniva has placed an order with the Atlanta-based subsidiary for a 25MW turnkey line, delivery of which is expected in 2008.
