Day4 Energy’s 60MC-I module with guardian technology has received International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) 61215 and 61730-2 certification. The IEC’s certification are recognized industry standards that assure modules have passed a required set of tests and are therefore appropriate for operation in outdoor climates. The IEC certification is also a requirement for PV module sales in Europe.

“There has been strong demand and interest in this unique technology since we first introduced the product in late 2009,” says George Rubin, president of Day4 Energy. “We are on track with our full-scale commercial production and with IEC certification now confirmed we expect to complete the first large volume shipments of our already-established frame contracts for the 60MC-I by the start of the second half of this year.”
