Hanwha Q CELLS to supply all Astrum Solar’s modules for 2015 installs

US PV installer Astrum Solar will source all its modules for 2015 installs from Hanwha Q CELLS, the two companies confirmed.

The panels, which are not subject to US trade tariffs, will be a mixture of mono-and polycrystalline and will be used in all of Astrum’s residential and commercial projects.

No details on the anticipated scale of the deal have been released but Astrum installed 12MW in 2012 and 25MW in 2013 according to Solar Power World’s Top 250 Solar Contractors data.

“This module supply agreement with such a reputable institution as Astrum Solar is an exciting step in expanding our presence in the US residential market,” said Alan King, VP of sales, Hanwha Q CELLS USA. “With our high yield modules engineered in Germany, US customers will benefit from optimised output under all climate conditions, in addition to Astrum's premier customer experience,” he added.
