Astronergy has been recognized as an ‘Overall Highest Achiever’ in the latest annual PV Module Index (PVMI) published by the Renewable Energy Test Center. RETC puts modules through 11 tests during 12 months, classifying as Overall Highest Achiever manufacturers with high scores across key performance criteria.
Astronergy was recognized for scoring heavily in areas including module quality, LETID resistance, PAN files, damp heat and thermal cycle. In LETID resistance testing, power degradation of the company’s ASTRO N TOPCon module was only -0.24%, which Jack Zhou, general manager of global product management, described as ‘industry-leading’.
As part of its 2023 testing, RETC also compiled performance distribution data for modules exposed to a 600-hour TC test (TC600), which is three times the intensity of that of IEC and UL certification standards. After 600 thermal cycles, the power attenuation data for the ASTRO module was -0.54%, which Zhou again lauded as being among the best in the industry.
