Astronergy has announced the signing of a cooperation agreement with TÜV Rheinland for its “zero-carbon” factory, under which the two parties will collaborate to establish industry standards and best practices for carbon neutrality.
With Astronergy committed to decarbonization, three of its factories will achieve zero carbon factory certification during 2023, with planning underway to complete the upgrading of a further eight factories to zero-carbon status by 2030.
The company’s Yancheng manufacturing base will achieve certification by the end of the first half of this year and become the world’s first TÜV Rheinland-certified zero-carbon factory, encompassing factory planning and design, construction, production services, systems, management systems and processes.
