Astronergy has contributed to the completion of a 400MW Solar+Grazing integrated project in China’s Qinghai Province. As one of the project’s core module suppliers, the company provided 240MW of its high-efficiency ASTRO series modules, particularly suitable for high-altitude conditions.
The project is located in the province’s plateau area, at an average altitude of over 3,400 metres and covering an area of 666.67 hectares. It stands out not only for its scale but also for its innovative “Solar+Grazing” complementary model. This combination significantly enhances the utilization of land resources while effectively alleviating pressure on the local grid and optimizing the local energy structure with renewable energy. The project serves as a perfect example to showcase the coexistence between solar power and grazing activities.
It is estimated that the project will generate an annual 770 million kWh of clean energy for Tongren City and its surrounding areas, while reducing annual coal consumption by around 240,000 tons and eliminating 1.93 tons of carbon emissions, 58,000 tons of SO2 and 30,000 tons of nitrogen oxide.
