With the vision to “Solarise Every Building,” GoodWe BIPV is playing a pivotal role in the construction of the Smart Energy Building, its new headquarters set for completion in 2024. This state-of-the-art facility integrates advanced renewable energy systems, aligning with stringent green building standards to promote sustainability and energy efficiency.

The building incorporates three renewable energy systems: BIPV, solar thermal and geothermal heat pumps, achieving a renewable energy utilization rate of 34.41%. Annually, it saves 850 MWh of electricity, reduces coal consumption by 259.25 tons, and lowers CO2 emissions by 493.85 tons. The building has received the ‘Active Excellent Award, third prize in the Design Scheme category.

To create a greener and more dynamic work environment, GoodWe integrated active energy-saving technologies with passive building strategies from the outset of the building’s design. Central to this effort, GoodWe BIPV products play a crucial role. By transforming traditional architectural elements—such as roofs, skylights, carports and shading devices—into energy-generating structures, the company has successfully merged architecture with sustainability.

Covering 6,570.858 m² of solar area, the company’s BIPV products boast a 698 kW capacity and an annual output of 496.5 MWh. The entire building achieves a renewable energy utilization rate of 34.41%. Annually, it saves 850 MWh of electricity, enough to power an 8,500-square-meter office building for a year.

Simply installing BIPV products is not enough. Based on these products, the building adopts an integrated high-efficiency energy solution combining solar, storage, charging, heat pump and water recycling technology, simplifying the energy operation system. The building’s on-grid system utilizes GoodWe inverters for residential, commercial, and industrial applications, covering a variety of power ranges and supplying real-time energy generated by the PV building materials directly to the building.

During the entire lifecycle of the GoodWe Smart Energy Building project, natural ventilation, daylighting, natural rainwater and natural thermal energy have been fully considered. Adaptive designs, such as a high green space ratio, building shading and insulation, create favorable conditions for energy efficiency. GoodWe aims to develop the project into a healthy, comfortable and livable environment that incorporates smart energy solutions, making it a replicable and scalable low-carbon building suitable for all regions.
