Trina Solar has announced its financial results for 2023 and the first quarter of 2024, reporting revenue of $16.09 billion (RMB 113.392 billion) for 2023, a year on year increase of 27.26% over 2022, and module shipments of 65.21GW, an increase of 51.33% on the previous year. As of the end of 2023 the company had also delivered 20GW of solar mounting systems and 5GWh in DC containers and energy storage systems.
As of the end of Q1 2024, Trina’s cumulative module shipments had exceeded 205GW, with 210mm shipments accounting for 120GW, maintaining its leading global ranking.
The company’s continued technological innovation has recently enabled its Vertex N 700W+ modules to achieve a maximum power output of 740.6W in the laboratory and set a new world record, the 26th time it has set records for cell/module conversion efficiency or power output.
Trina also has ambitions to extend its energy storage business worldwide. As of the end of 2023, its shipments of 5GWh in DC containers and energy storage systems covered China, Europe, the Asia-Pacific region, North and South America, the Middle East and Africa, with Trina Storage launching its new generation Elementa 2 liquid-cooled energy storage system in February.
Meanwhile, TrinaTracker has delivered 20GW+ of solar mounting systems worldwide, spanning over 60 countries, its annual tracker production capacity standing at over 10GW.
At the end of 2023, Trina Solar’s production capacity stood at 55GW for silicon wafers, 75GW for cells and 95GW for modules, with the company targeting capacity of 60GW, 105GW and 120GW respectively for monocrystalline wafers, high-efficiency cells and modules by the end of 2024.
