DAH Solar has announced the signing of an agreement with the Jinzhong Development Zone management committee and the Shanxi branch of the Three Gorges corporation for the implementation of a 7GW high-efficiency N-type silicon wafer and cell production base project. The project will involve the creation of 7GW of capacity for high-efficiency N-type silicon wafers and a further 7GW for N-type cell production, at a total investment of about 2 billion RMB.
DAH Solar president Xie Shenheng stressed the importance of the project in enabling the company to implement its industrial integration strategy, with the cooperation between DAH, Jinzhong Development Zone and the Three Gorges Group further consolidating the company’s development plans over the next five years.
