DMEGC Solar has announced that it has received certification from TÜV SÜD of 100% renewable energy use in the manufacture of its modules, marking a significant milestone in its establishment of a zero-carbon production facility.
TÜV SÜD’s assessment process took account of evaluation and onsite audits at the company’s Hengdian, Qixian and Sihong manufacturing bases, it being confirmed that the module facilities at Hengdian and Sihong exclusively used renewable electricity in the production process between 1st May and 31st August and between 1st January and 31st August, respectively.
In order to achieve its 100% renewable electricity target, DMEGC deploys PV arrays within its facilities and sources sustainable energy from regional providers. The grid-connected PV capacity at the company’s manufacturing hub currently stands at 51.46MW, delivering a self-consumption electricity tally of 22.28GWh.
