Suntech has announced the grid connection of the first 70MW of a total 200MW of Ultra X and Ultra V high-efficiency modules delivered to a SEPCO Agri-PV project in Shandong province’s Yishui County.

The project terrain is undulating, high in the south and low in the north, with 550W of bifacial and 670W of monofacial modules installed over an area of some 1,883 mu. The Ultra V bifacial glass-glass C72/Pmh+ module selected for the project offers several advantages including good strong-light and weak-light performance, a low temperature coefficient and resistance to sand, dust and abrasion. The Ultra X D66/Wmh module features high-density encapsulation technology, significantly increasing the power per unit area, with a maximum output of up to 675W and a maximum conversion efficiency of up to 21.7%. Once fully operational, the plant will generate an annual average of 86,368,000 kWh of green power, eliminating some 31,092 tons of standard coal and 81,463 tons of carbon dioxide emissions.
