Huasun Energy has been awarded a contract for the second batch of this year’s PV module procurement by State Grid Jibei Power, a subsidiary of China’s State Grid Corporation. Under the agreement, the company will supply its high-efficiency heterojunction (HJT) modules with ultra-high power outputs of 720-740 W for the next phase of the country’s flagship national wind-solar-storage-transmission hybrid demonstration project, scheduled for grid connection in October.

Located in the Bashang region of China’s Hebei Province, the project is a key national initiative jointly led by the Ministries of Finance and Science and Technology, the National Energy Administration and the State Grid. As the world’s largest integrated energy project combining wind, solar, storage and transmission capabilities, it has played a critical role in advancing hybrid power generation, grid integration and energy storage technologies since its launch in 2009, significantly accelerating China’s renewable energy transition.

The tender called for modules with power outputs ranging from 720 W to 740 W, setting a new global benchmark in high-power module procurement, the requirement reflecting the project’s emphasis on advanced technology and long-term performance. The selection of Huasun products underscores not only their superior efficiency and reliability, but also the company’s proven ability to deliver at scale. Together, these strengths signal growing market confidence in Huasun solutions and reinforce its leadership in next-generation solar innovation.
