JA Solar has developed a distributed PV power system for Libai Group, a leading player in China’s daily chemical industry, to help decarbonize its factories, with the project’s first phase, with a capacity of 3.7 MWp, completed and connected to the grid.
Developed by JA Smart Renergy, a business branch of JA Solar focusing on developing solar systems, the project utilizes the company’s high-performance modules, with the system installed on the factory’s coloured steel tile roof. Its design ensures an optimal balance between PV power generation, safety, shading and sound insulation, significantly reducing energy consumption and alleviating power supply challenges during peak summer periods.
The energy generated by the PV system will be used primarily by the factory, with any excess electricity exported to the grid. The system is expected to generate an annual 3.889 million kWh, enabling Libai to save 31.48 million yuan in electricity costs, while reducing carbon dioxide emissions by 3,204.51 tons and sulphur dioxide emissions by 0.52 tons.
