JinkoSolar has announced the signing of a contract with Yalong Hydro for 287.4MW of its n-type Tiger Neo modules. Located in Sichuan Province’s Yajiang County, the project will exclusively deploy Tiger Neo bifacial modules (72c), further evidence of the growing popularity of Jinko’s high-efficiency n-type modules for large-scale projects.

With polysilicon prices still at unprecedented high  levels, the downstream sector has incorporated uncertainty over supply into its pricing, meaning that the recovery of the supply-demand balance predicted by industry experts at the beginning of the year has not materialised.

“Our high efficiency n-type Tiger Neo panels have healthy order backlogs, with the strongest pricing power seen in many markets, and we are struggling to fulfil customer orders at low price levels due to the chain effect caused by the rising cost of materials,” commented company VP, Dany Qian.
