LONGi has exhibited at the 2026 edition of All Energy Australia, showcasing its comprehensive portfolio of solar PV and energy storage products and solutions. On the opening day, the company officially launched two next-generation modules: Hi-MO 9 Prime for utility-scale applications and Hi-MO X12, its flagship module for distributed generation.

Built on advances in LONGi’s HPBC 2.0 cell technology, both products deliver improvements in power output, efficiency, reliability and aesthetics. During the exhibition, key LONGi products received certification from TÜV Rheinland, while the company signed strategic agreements with partners across Australia and New Zealand, including a module delivery target of 2 GW. The company also made its Australian debut with a broad energy storage portfolio and an innovative modular PV solution, reinforcing its commitment to the Oceania market.

The highlight of the event was the Hi-MO X12, not merely a performance iteration, but a cross-generational distributed flagship module. Driven by the innovative structural revolution of the integrated conductive backsheet, the module achieves an all-round peak in power generation, aesthetics, and safety.

Designed for utility-scale solar projects in Australia and New Zealand, Hi-MO 9 Prime brings together refined aesthetics and high energy performance.

David McElrea, CEO of the Smart Energy Council, attended the product launch and delivered a keynote address on solar technology innovation and the outlook for Australia’s PV market. He highlighted growing demand for efficient, reliable and visually appealing solar products as Australia’s energy transition accelerates. With its full-screen appearance, LONGi’s new-generation module design brings a fresh approach to solar aesthetics while addressing the market’s expectations for high performance and reliability, supporting the continued evolution of Australia’s solar industry.

Beyond its new PV modules, LONGi also introduced energy storage products and innovative solutions in Australia, demonstrating an integrated portfolio spanning utility-scale, commercial and industrial (C&I), and residential applications, presenting LONGiBank 3.0, OneMatrix, Hi-MO One Pro, OneNexus M5 and OneNexus H2C.

  • Utility-scale storage: Large-capacity systems including OneMatrix are designed for GWh-scale projects, providing safe, long-life grid-level support.
  • C&I and residential: Hi-MO One Pro and the OneNexus series address applications such as peak/off-peak energy management and home backup power, enabling intelligent coordination of solar, storage and charging.
  • Off-grid and microgrid applications: Reliable solutions designed for remote Australian communities and island environments, helping maintain power supply under challenging conditions.

The company also introduced LONGi Block, a highly integrated modular PV solution designed for Australia’s vast geography and demanding operations and maintenance conditions. It combines high power density, robust protection, rapid deployment and simplified maintenance.

The module display featured Hi-MO X10 anti-dust modules, Hi-MO X10 lightweight modules and EcoLife residential modules.

Australia is among the world’s most demanding solar markets, where product performance and long-term reliability are critical. Intense ultraviolet exposure, high temperatures and dust create challenging operating conditions, making robust validation essential.

At the exhibition, TÜV Rheinland awarded Hi-MO 9 Prime a product conformity certificate covering fundamental performance and reliability assessments, including light-induced degradation (LID) and light- and elevated-temperature-induced degradation (LeTID).

VP and President of Global Marketing Liu Yuxi emphasised that the industry needs more than impressive specifications: customers depend on products whose performance is validated over their full operating life. He said TÜV Rheinland’s assessments provide quantifiable, traceable evidence of product safety, energy performance and environmental adaptability, reflecting LONGi’s commitment to long-term reliability rather than short-term performance claims.

LONGiBank 3.0 also received TÜV Rheinland certification during the exhibition.

VP and GM of LONGi’s energy storage business Dennis She noted that safety is a prerequisite for entering Australia’s highly regulated energy storage market. He explained that LONGi develops PV and storage as coordinated systems, rather than simply combining separate products, to meet the grid’s real-world requirements for stable electricity supply.

During All Energy, the company signed several strategic agreements with key partners in Australia and New Zealand, strengthening its distribution network and broadening its cooperation in emerging energy applications.

A new memorandum of understanding (MOU) was signed with Raystech, its exclusive distribution partner in Australia. The partnership will expand beyond traditional PV module distribution into solar project development and integrated energy solutions for AI data centres (AIDC). The parties established a combined module delivery target of 2 GW for 2027–2029, marking a shift towards joint development of larger energy projects.

Looking at New Zealand, LONGi signed strategic distribution MOUs with Corys Electrical and Rise Energy to strengthen local channel coverage and customer support in the country, further developing its Oceania network.
