Senior representatives of leading distributor PVO International, including commercial director Hans Ekelmans and procurement manager Erwin Damen, have visited SOFAR’s new state-of-the-art manufacturing base in Huizhou.
The first phase of the company’s smart digital factory covers an area of over 110,000 square meters, at a total investment of some CNY 800 million. Once operational, it is expected to add over one million units to the existing capacity of solar and storage products.
The new factory is equipped with the latest cutting-edge robotization and automation technologies and is designed to optimize efficiency of labour resources.
Subsequent to the visit, the two companies signed an MoU at Intersolar Europe for the supply by SOFAR of 500MW of products.
Head of SOFAR Europe Allen Cao believes that the visit will be the forerunner for global partners to take a close look at the company’s modernized production processes, commenting: “We’re confident that our new factory represents an innovative revolution in intelligent manufacturing, perfectly designed for a net-zero future. Our partnership with PVO International signals a significant milestone in support of the shared goal of facilitating a clean transition towards a greener society which provides equal access to affordable, reliable and sustainable energy.”
