Sineng Electric has announced the successful grid connection of a 600MW agrivoltaic solar power plant developed by Jinhua Fengling New Energy Development, marking the largest installation of its kind in Zhejiang Province.

Spanning 13 villages in Jinhua, the project features over 850,000 solar panels installed across hilly, complex terrain. To ensure reliable and efficient performance under these conditions, Sineng delivered a customized inverter solution, deploying more than 1,800 units of its 320kW string inverters.

Engineered for utility-scale deployment, the inverters offer 12 MPPTs to accommodate high-current PV modules from multiple technology platforms. A high DC/AC ratio improves energy yield and reduces LCOE, while built-in PLC communication minimizes wiring complexity. Advanced features such as real-time string-level monitoring and intelligent DC disconnection enhance system safety and long-term reliability.

The project is expected to generate approximately 780 million kWh of clean electricity annually, offsetting 221,500 tons of standard coal and eliminating 680,000 tons of CO₂ emissions.

Beyond environmental benefits, the project also supports local economic revitalization. The solar arrays are installed above under-utilized farmland, where local farmers are now growing medicinal herbs, unlocking additional income streams through dual land use. By integrating solar power generation with agricultural production, the project sets a compelling example of agrivoltaic innovation—maximizing land value and empowering rural communities.
