S&P Global has estimated Solis to be number three among global PV inverter suppliers in 2022, ranked in terms of GW shipped.
“Solis is of course delighted to be in this position for the second year in a row and have its commitment to driving clean energy rewarded by the trust and buy in from partners, installers and business and homeowners globally. The future absolutely must include continued, consistent deployment of solar energy and Solis is excited to be part of the energy transition to a greener, cleaner planet,” commented Sandy Woodward, general manager for Europe and South Africa.
Reflecting on the company’s performance in 2022, Woodward continued: “I’m particularly proud of our progress during 2022 in the energy storage inverter segment, in which the company achieved a year-on-year growth of more than 500%, accounting for 18% of its total operating revenue. This notable expansion can be attributed first and foremost to our dedicated team of more than 4,500 people across all the major continents, but also to our high brand recognition, strong channel competitiveness and constant commitment to R&D.”
During 2022, the company’s R&D expenditure increased by 74%, reaching USD 45 million. Solis currently boasts an annual production capacity of 40GW, which is scheduled to double in Q3 2023.
