With a focus on the innovation and application of its pioneering N-type technology, Suntech Power has presented its brand-new high efficiency lightweight TOPCon double-glass module at Intersolar Europe.

The full range of the company’s products were on display, with modules of different sizes covering application scenarios from household to power plants.

The new lightweight double-glass module is based on 54 182mm N-type monocrystalline silicon cells, featuring a 1.6mm+1.6mm double-sided glass design that reduces weight by 20% compared with products of the same size in the industry. In terms of resistance performance, the module boasts a number of advantages, including resistance to micro-cracks, acid and alkali, salt mist, water vapour, UV and PID.

Suntech modules employ a half-cell non-destructive cutting process, yielding zero burn marks, zero burrs and zero thermal impact zones after laser cutting, boosting the bending strength of the cell by about 25%.

The new module employs non-screen-printed transparent glass for the backsheet and specially designed frames, substantially enhancing its load-bearing capacity.

With the successful commissioning of its latest Chuzhou base, the company will now operate several major production bases nationwide, including in Wuxi, Changzhou, Chuzhou and Suzhou, with an expected cell and module capacity of 16.5GW and 25GW respectively. The smart factory is equipped with cutting-edge automated production equipment, capable of manufacturing the full range of TOPCon modules, while also compatible with the production of mainstream products such as the 210mm large-size multi-busbar high-power panel.
