A 700 MW PV plant located in the harsh deserts of Delingha in northwestern China and fully powered by Trinasolar’s Vertex N 700W+ modules has been connected to the grid.
Situated northeast of the Qaidam Basin, Delingha is located in a region challenged by extreme temperature differences, frequent sandstorms and high ultraviolet intensity.
Trinasolar’s Vertex N 700W+ modules were selected due to their proven performance in challenging desert environments worldwide, demonstrating both high reliability and energy yield. The project will generate an annual 1.482 billion kWh of electricity, while eliminating 1.156 million tons of CO₂ emissions.
President of Trina’s China MU Vincent Wu commented: “This project exemplifies Trinasolar’s dedication to delivering high-value products and solutions for challenging environments worldwide, From seawater desalination plants in Saudi Arabia to coal-mining subsidence areas and desert scenarios in Western China, our solutions continue to demonstrate their reliability and performance in the most demanding conditions, paving the way for further upgrades in our technologies.”
