KiloWattsol, an independent French technical advisor for renewable energy, has introduced a new service whereby it provides PV system owners in Germany, France and Spain with a new monthly solar irradiation report on their PV installation.

The report will analyse the PV installation and compare its solar irradiation levels during the previous month to the long-term climatic average for the same month in order to help the PV system owners to better calculate the efficiency of their PV installations.

KiloWattsol reveals that the amount of solar irradiation can fluctuate up to 30% above or below the long-term climatic average for the same month. This deviation is referred to as an anomaly. The new report documents this anomaly for the last three months in the form of maps.

By identifying such anomalies, KiloWattsol believes that PV system owners will be able to improve their understanding of their system’s long-term performance.
