German solar project developer Wirsol Solar has announced the construction of a 5.94MW project in Lobbach-Lobenfeld near Heidelberg, Germany.
The company claims that once constructed, it will be the largest solar farm in the Rhine-Neckar Metropolitan Region. The installation will use 24,240 modules which will produce enough clean energy for 1,600 households.

With an investment of nearly €7 million, Wirsol expects to complete the project by the end of June 2013 which will be installed on a 10-hectare former clay pit.
