SCHOTT Solar is the latest company to receive TÜV Rheinland’s IEC standard 61701 certificate to pass the salt spray corrosion test. The modules are sprayed with salt water for two hours at a time, then attacked by a 5% sodium chloride solution and finally stored at 40°C and 93% humidity for 20 hours.
Die Sonnenfirma has finished construction of a 1.46MWp solar project in the Bavarian city of Würzburg. The system, which is the largest in north Bavaria, has already passed the EEG test and grid connection will be achieved in the coming weeks.
Seraphim Solar System’s modules have passed the Italian Certification Authority’s ICIM (Istituto di Certificazione Industriale per la Meccanica) evaluation. ICIM’s assessment covered Seraphim’s entire management system and the certification will be a boon to the Changzhou-based firm’s hopes of establishing itself in Italy’s highly-competitive PV industry.
