German firm IBC Solar has completed an 11MW PV power plant in Rajasthan, its fifth to date in India.
Handover of the project to the investor, a company within the LN Bangur conglomerate, will take place later this month after it has received certification from testing house TÜV Rheinland.

IBC Solar said certification to the international standard IEC62446 would guarantee the investor that the PV plant would offer the best possible operating results and maximum security of investment in the long term.
“The EPC project in Pokhran is another huge success for IBC Solar and its Indian subsidiary,” said Reinhard Ling, business manager at IBC SOLAR Projects Private, the company’s Indian subsidiary. “We worked closely with local workers and specialists to realise a tailor-made PV construction, thereby meeting all special requirements. Ultimately, we can guarantee the investor a maximum performance ratio and a quick return on investment.”
The project received support under India’s flagship JNNSM solar programme. Because of the local content rules enshrined in the programme the project’s modules, fixings and some electric components were produced in India, IBC Solar said.
Rajasthan is one of India’s leading solar states, with among the country's highest installed PV capacities and developers queuing up to build potentially multiple gigawatts more projects.
