Tracker manufacturer NEXTracker has secured a contract to provide single-axis trackers for a 42MW project in Georgia.
Engineering, procurement and construction firm DEPCOM Power will use the trackers for the Paw Paw Solar Facility in central Georgia. The project was acquired by Georgia Power as part of a 400MW solar power portfolio being built up by the Southern Company subsidiary.

NEXTracker and Array Technologies are currently enjoying a boom in demand for single-axis trackers as the economics of the kit tilts in their favour.
Array Technologies CEO Ron Corio recently told PV Tech he expected to ship at least 4GW before the US investment tax credit (ITC) in 2016 steps down from 30% to 10%.
