With the installation of 1,396 Astronergy n-type TOPCon PV modules, the pit building at the Singapore F1 Grand Prix in September will be powered by solar energy.
Equipped with a total of 0.76MW of ASTRO N5 modules, the building will generate an annual 803,155 kWh of solar energy, sufficient to power the entire facility for the whole race period, with excess energy sold to the grid to offset overall costs.
Local media report that introducing solar power is among new measures announced by the Singapore Tourist Board and Grand Prix organisers to make the high profile event more environmentally sustainable.
