DAS Solar has announced that its 4GW high efficiency module project, jointly funded with Elion, has commenced production in Inner Mongolia.
The project is located in the Ordos High-tech Zone, at a total investment in fixed assets and working capital of approximately 5 billion yuan. Phase I of the project is underway, with Phase II to start with the construction of a 6GW facility. On completion, annual sales revenue is forecast to exceed 10 billion yuan, creating jobs for more than 1,000 local residents.
DAS Solar has developed flexible brackets adapted specifically for desert conditions such as those found in Ordos, effectively overcoming topographical constraints on module placement and enabling the company to explore further possibilities for desert photovoltaic installations.
