DAS Solar has announced that it has received certification from EPD Italy for its full range of PV modules, an important step in the company’s ambitions to extend its footprint in international markets.
Based on ISO 14025 and EN 1584 standards, the Environmental Product Declaration (EDP) involves the evaluation of a product’s environmental impact throughout its entire lifecycle.
The certification process was handled by TÜV SÜD, conducting a life cycle assessment (LCA) of a range of DAS Solar products, the subsequent report examining the environmental impact of each stage of the company’s module manufacturing process, including procurement of raw materials, production, transportation, installation, recycling and disposal.
