GoodWe has expanded its proven ET Series of three-phase hybrid inverters with the launch of two new models with an expanded power range: the ET 40kW and ET 50kW. Designed specifically for commercial and industrial (C&I) applications, these inverters offer customizable backup options, smart operation and high power density, ensuring dependable performance in both on- and off-grid modes. A solar-plus-storage solution integrating the ET50kW and forthcoming commercial battery cabinet will soon be available for businesses seeking an all-in-one energy storage system with flexibility and expandability.
VP Ron Shen commented: “The new additions address the growing demand for versatile energy storage solutions from business owners, and are set to be a game-changer in the market. Whether the focus is on optimizing self-consumption, enabling smart system operation or expanding system capacity, these solutions offer both flexibility and reliability.”
Key features of previous ET inverter models, such as self-consumption optimization, peak-shaving and time of use (TOU) settings continue to make the ET40/50kW a reliable choice for commercial scenarios.
An additional design of the ET40/50kW inverters is the customizable backup function, with customers able to add a Static Transfer Switch (STS) box, offering the flexibility to avoid additional costs if the backup function is not required.
When paired with the STS box, the inverter provides UPS-level switching to backup mode during power outages, ensuring reliable power supply whilst also allowing paralleling of backup connections for large critical loads, both on- and off-grid. The system is also compatible with generators, while integrated dry contact function of the inverter allows for flexible load activation.
The series of inverters is compatible with 180mm and 210mm modules and boasts 98.1% maximum efficiency. It allows for 150% DC input oversizing, which optimizes energy yield even under low solar radiation conditions. Additional features, including AC overloading capability and a 200A bypass, enable the system to handle more appliances and ensures stable performance during power disruptions. For added reliability, the inverters include DC Type II surge protection and an IP66 rating for reliable outdoor use. Optional safety features, such as an Arc Fault Circuit Interrupter (AFCI) and Rapid Shutdown (RSD) are also available.
For an integrated energy storage solution, the ET40/50kW is compatible with GoodWe’s forthcoming commercial battery cabinet, forming an all-in-one system. The system can be expanded to MWh capacities and comes equipped with features such as smart temperature management and fire suppression, making it adaptable for a range of C&I scenarios.
