JA Solar is celebrating its 20th anniversary, marking two decades of innovation, growth and a lasting contribution to the global clean energy transition.

Founded in 2005 with a mission to develop solar power, the company has grown into a trusted partner in over 178 countries and regions. With 16 overseas subsidiaries and a proven track record in solar module manufacturing and technology leadership, it is a key player in the renewable energy landscape.

As of Q1 2025, JA’s cumulative module shipments had surpassed 280 GW, powering utility, C&I and residential PV systems in diverse geographies and challenging environments. This milestone was achieved via the company’s robust annual module production capacity, currently standing at over 100 GW. With vertically integrated wafer and cell production capacities exceeding 80% and 70%, respectively, it leads the way in large-scale production and supply.

Central to JA Solar’s journey has been its relentless commitment to innovation. From PERC technology to the latest advancements in n-type Bycium+ cells, which have now achieved a remarkable mass production efficiency of 27%, the company consistently raises the bar in high-efficiency product development. Its flagship DeepBlue 4.0 Pro modules, designed for high power density, reliability and adaptability, meet the diverse needs of global markets and applications, with its integrated PV solutions tailored to maximize energy yield and deliver long-term value for its customers worldwide.

“Our 20th anniversary belongs to every employee, partner, and customer who has been part of our journey,” commented Executive President Aiqing Yang. “As we look ahead, we reaffirm our commitment to driving innovation, advancing green development and delivering long-term value to our global partners.”
