JinkoSolar has announced that it has been declared winner in the prestigious Green World Awards for environmental best practice. The awards are organised by the Green Organization as part of its campaign to identify the greenest countries, companies and communities from 500 global candidates.
As the first renewable company to join the RE100 initiative and the first solar PV manufacturer to reach the milestone of 70GW of installed capacity, JinkoSolar is now the world’s largest supplier of ecofriendly solar PV technologies. The company plans to grow revenue from high efficiency and low carbon footprint products by driving advanced technology such as N-type TopCon, the efficiency of which can reach 25.25%, and achieving above-average expansion in areas such as BIPV and solar storage.
“Being recognised in the Green World Awards is a great honour for JinkoSolar and its employees. Investing in sustainability pays off – for us, for our customers and for the environment,” commented Dany Qian, the company’s VP. “We have firmly anchored our sustainability strategy along our entire value chain and we will continue to foster sustainability on the part of our suppliers and business partners, in their own operations and on the customer side.”
