JinkoSolar has announced the delivery of a 2.03MWh C&I energy storage system to A4&T Power Solutions for a mini-grid project under the REA performance-based grant program in the southwest region of Nigeria. The JKS196-675K-150H system makes the microgrid installation more robust, improving the resilience of the electricity supply and delivering an improved ROI for stakeholders.
The JinkoSolar product, a fully integrated, pre-configured battery storage solution, uses best-in-class LFP battery chemistry to deliver 135 kWh of capacity. It includes inverter, battery cabinet, battery modules, BMS, local controller, cooling system and fire suppression system, all housed in outdoor rated enclosures. The solution reduces on-site installation time and can be easily up-scaled.
In addition to standalone operation in off-grid mode for power backup, the product supports peak shaving for demand charge management and load shifting for time-of-use savings.
