JinkoSolar has begun construction of phase two of its latest n-type cell and module production plant at Jianshan, Haining city, holding a traditional ground-breaking ceremony at the factory location in the Jianshan Industry Park. Here the company will produce 11GW of n-type cells with an average efficiency of 25%, which may become the world’s first 10GW-scale factory to mass produce cells with an efficiency above the 25% threshold.
Once operational during Q4 2022, the plant will have a production capacity of around 11GW of solar cells and 15GW of modules, which will enable Jinko to continue to meet the strong demand for its n-type Tiger Neo panels.
