JinkoSolar has announced that it is to supply approximately one gigawatt of its high efficiency n-type bifacial Tiger Neo solar panels to China Datang Corporation to power six utility-scale solar projects located in Hunan and Guangxi provinces.

This will be the first time Datang has deployed Tiger Neo n-type modules at its large-scale projects, and the product’s cutting-edge technology, high efficiency, high power output and reliability will lay a solid foundation for encouraging Datang itself and other top power producers to accelerate the transition from p-type towards the next generation of n-type products.

“We are delighted to supply China Datang Corporation with our modules for this iconic project which, when completed, will be its first and one of the largest operational solar power systems in China to adopt n-type technology,” commented Dany Qian, JinkoSolar VP. “The size and importance of this project is yet another example of how utility-scale customers are accelerating the transition towards n-type products and the level of trust they place in Tiger Neo for their solar power projects around the world. With clearly enhanced high-output performance and proven reliability, utility-scale plant owners and operators can maximize power generation and benefit from a predictable improved return on investment for at least 30 years.”
