The theme for the 2023 edition of the Boao Forum for Asia (BFA) conference in Hainan province was “An uncertain world: Solidarity and cooperation for development amid challenges.” This year, the Forum considered the supply of “green electricity” as an important element of “green hosting” and a window to showcase China’s achievements in its ‘dual carbon’ efforts.
According to official BFA figures, LONGi has supplied a total of 3.88MW of BIPV specific products for the conference’s permanent venue in Boao Town, fully utilising existing roofs and façades to incorporate a distinctive ‘new skin.’
The Boao Zero Carbon Demonstration Zone, located on Dongyu Island, is the first zero carbon park to be jointly created by Hainan province and the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development and is one of six landmark projects in the province.
